Do decently in high school; it's now harder to get in than when I got in. Shoot for a 3.5 and above 650 on your math and verbal SATs.

Just apply. They'll accept you if you have anything average. Don't listen to all the bull crap magazines and papers put out about average GPA. Mason is a fall back school for most students so the people average GPA is higher than what you really need because none of the students actually end up attending Mason. I got in with a 3.1 and 1160 SAT. I did have 6 seasons of varsity sports and some good recomendations but I'm smarter than most students there. I'm also very lazy too.
